Timetables

The openess and flexibility of the Total Theatre course allows the students to follow their chosen path. Different specialist teachers will be called upon throughout the year depending on the directions in which individual students and performances are going. This flexibility mixed with the consistency of a few core teachers and principle director make for a perfect balance.

Enrolments and Auditions
For details on the audition process for 2005 open our APPLICATION FORM
Enrolments for the course are open from the beginning of September each year, however applications can be made at any time. The course is open to students aged 17years and above.
Total Theatre takes a maximum of 14 students per year.
There are no formal qualifications required as prerequisites for the course. Prospective students are asked to send a page of biographical information, as well as a statement outlining why they wish to do the training, with their application form.

First round auditions will be held at the school In Oct/Nov each year, for the following years' intake of students. This will involve an individual audition/interview as well as a half-day group workshop to determine whether the course is suitable for each individual. Second round auditions may be held in early February.

For their audition, participants will be asked to perform a short piece of text of their choice (from a poem, a monologue, a play etc.) as well as a short physical piece of their choice (dance, acrobatics, mime, creative movement etc.) These can be traditional, or self-devised. If the audition piece includes both text and movement then the one piece is fine, otherwise we ask that applicants perform two short pieces to demonstrate both spoken and physical skills. Your audition/presentation should be 3-4 minutes long. You can include any kind of performance: singing, dancing, poetry, prose, magic, tumbling or circus skills. There will then be a short time for participants to talk with the director of the school .

As well as this individual audition/interview, there will be a half-day group workshop where participants will get a chance to work with other auditionees under Annie's guidance. This will enable us to see how each person works as part of the ensemble/group.
Under special circumstances, those unable to make it to Perth for the auditions will have the option of sending a video recording of audition pieces and to talk to the director of the school via telephone.

The total fees for the one-year, full-time course are $7260 (including GST) a year (Australian) inclusive of all training and production components.
